Travel jobs bucket list destination

With our 25-year Anniversary celebrations continuing, this week’s travel inspiration comes from Lisa Hamblin from our London office. Lisa’s stand out recommendation to add to your bucket list is a trip to Machu Picchu!

This monumental landmark built in the 15th century is perched high on the steep escarpments of the Andes Mountains in Peru. The Citadel of Machu Picchu is the most famous archaeological site on the continent and to this day its former purpose remains a mystery.

Drawing crowds from across the world, this truly fascinating site can be reached on a 4-day trek of the infamous Inca trail. Lisa recalls “After four days on the Inca trail when I first caught site of Machu Picchu from the top of Dead Women’s pass, I felt like I was discovering something for the first time. It was truly the most inspiring and uplifting thing I had ever seen”.

Machu Picchu became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007. A must for the bucket list Lisa assures us.
