LOCATION: Hampton Court Palace
SALARY: £25,000 to £30,000
HOLIDAYS: 5 weeks
Exciting new opportunity for a well experience travel sales leader / manager to sink their teeth into. Our client is a travel start-up company that has been around since the word "start-up" was being used. These guys are looking to bring on board a great leader who is still willing to learn and work in a close space that wants to further and grow their career.
Ideal professional would have experience managing the best of the best sales / travel consultant, be able to promote the brand, whilst spinning a multiple of plates in a fast-paced environment.
Reports to: Chief Executive
- ·Excellent knowledge of specialist tour operator processes and sales techniques & skills.
·Understands tour operator pricing and availability loading as well as H&S processes even if not implemented before
·Experience of team leadership and motivating.
· Punctual, productive and error-free
·Well-travelled on Europe is a plus.
·Numerate – can analysis, report and calculate efficiently.
·Great written English – newsletters, hotel and tour descriptions etc.
·Good at selecting and ideally simple editing of photos and video
·Ambitious to grow with the company
·Can do attitude and pragmatic.
·Utterly reliable, punctual and hard-working
·Solid digital skills – using Office suite, basic social media posts, simple CMS information loading, unafraid to self-teach new packages and skills
1.Leading all the core personal sales and administrative functions of the company, including following up all sales leads and converting them into bookings, brochure requests, payment collection, pre-departure packs, supplier payments, accounting entries, and formal regulatory reporting.
2.Leading the internal team in performing these above activities, whether reporting directly to you on co-working with you; and recruiting, motivating and performance managing staff working in these area (initially in conjunction with the CEO)
3.Liaising with suppliers over all matters relating to bookings including setting up and testing the booking process with new suppliers
4.Managing internal administrators in setting up of tours, prices and inventory, and checking the quality of this work.
5.Liaising with our bonding and back office suppliers, PTS
6.Supporting the Product Team with research and development of new tour opportunities, suppliers, itineraries, awesome activities, and competitor price comparisons, and monitoring tour performance (both in terms of sales and operational quality). This may involve some supplier relations management and probably attending certain trade fairs & exhibitions including World Travel Markets.
7.Monitoring feedback from Pioneers, clients and suppliers over tour performance and quality
8.Occasional support in writing itineraries, tour copy and website page copy, image selection and design activities to present tours and populate the pages of our website.
9.Assisting in the analysis and testing of website performance to optimise layout, design and traffic flow and hence conversion into sales.
10.Working on marketing and social media campaigns and marketing research and planning alongside the CEO (William) and Marketing staff
11.Liaising with and monitoring performance of the proposed external Contact Centre, when we contract this service
12.Working with the CEO and others on regulatory, legal, health & safety, accounting, insurance and office administrative matters.
FULL TIME 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK
LOCATION: SALARY: Starting salary around £25,000 to £30,000
HOLIDAYS: 5 weeks
