Senior Commercial Planning Manager

Central London

£50-65K depending on experience + Bonus and Benefits

 

My client is a high end luxury travel company with an international presence and an unrivalled reputation for quality.

Due to expansion, they have created the role of Senior Commercial Planning Manager to assist the company in achieving its annual guest/revenue targets and its annual/five-year plans as well as supporting the day to day trading, regular reporting, analysis and performance of the business.

Candidates who are interested in the Senior Commercial Planning Manager role must have previous experience in a similar commercial role in the travel industry focusing on revenue management or business analysis.

Senior Commercial Planning Manager Responsibilities:

  • Annual and Five-Year Plan – work with the Managing Director to develop, present and execute the market’s annual and five-year strategic plans.

  • Budget – work with the management team to define the market’s annual guest/revenue budget and travel agent commission and sales investment initiatives.

  • Plan and Review the ROI of key trading campaigns.

  • Competitor analysis – monitor pricing, promotions, advertising and deployment of competitors in the local market.

  • Revenue Reporting – develop and run daily, weekly and monthly reporting of booking performance versus target – in tandem with Revenue Management reporting. Provide regular updates and exception reporting to the local business on booking performance to identify successes, risks and opportunities.

  • Distribution Reporting – develop and run weekly/monthly reporting of travel agent booking performance, commission and overrides. Monitor contracted travel agent partners versus annual growth targets and agreed promotional spend.

  • Play a key role in coordinating and providing input and recommendations for the weekly Sales and Marketing Trading call with Revenue Management.

  • Senior Commercial Planning Manager Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a commercial role (e.g. revenue management, business analytics). Travel Industry experience is essential

  • Analytical and structured

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced), Word and PowerPoint

  • Able to present data and findings concisely and simply to a broad audience

 

 

Senior Commercial Planning Manager Salary and Benefits:

  • Base salary from £50-65K + Bonus
